Let's dive in 👇
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK
Eric Bibb: One Mississippi Tour
Tuesday 9 June, 19:00 · Róisín Dubh
Three-time Grammy nominee, five decades in blues and roots, and a new album called One Mississippi that pulls together the threads of a career built entirely on playing it straight. Róisín Dubh is the right size room for this — close enough that the fingerpicking matters.

Clifden Summer Fest
Friday 12 – Sunday 14 June · Clifden Showgrounds
Three nights in Connemara, about 75km west of Galway city. Gearoid McCarthy on Friday, Mark McCabe on Saturday, Nathan Carter closing on Sunday, with Some Old Sons, the Young Wolftones and Clodagh Lawlor across the weekend. Over 18s only. A weekend pass or individual night tickets available. The drive out is part of the deal.
Galway Comic Con
Sunday 14 June, 11:00 · Dexcom Stadium
All-ages pop culture event with cosplay, comics, trading cards and celebrity guests. John Morris, the voice of Andy in Toy Story, is this year's headliner. Big enough to take the whole afternoon. The official afterparty moves to Róisín Dubh in the evening if you want to keep it going.

Carole King's Tapestry: An Evening in Laurel Canyon
Tuesday 9 June, 19:30 · Town Hall Theatre
A tribute concert built around Tapestry, King's 1971 album. The Town Hall is a good room for a show that wants to sit somewhere between performance and listening.

Hang Massive
Thursday 11 June, 20:00 · Róisín Dubh
Handpan duo building their live sets on layered loops and tribal rhythms. Playing Galway between their Limerick and Cork dates this week. Good if you missed them last time around.
Midsummer Musicfest
Friday 12 June, 19:00 · Monroe's Live Venue
A midsummer music night at Monroe's, one of Galway's steadier venues for this kind of thing. Check Monroe's site for the full lineup closer to the date.
Salthouse Jam Session
Wednesday 10 June, 20:00 · Raven Terrace
Regular open jam night in Galway. A mid-week option if you want to play rather than watch.

Galway Ukulele Open Session
Wednesday 10 June, 19:00 · Mechanics Institute
Weekly ukulele session. Recurring and open to all.
SYNAPSES
Wednesday 10 June, 20:00 · Town Hall Theatre
A play about love, memory and parenting described as heartfelt comedy, part of a national summer tour. Playing the Town Hall mid-week.
Oíche Airneáin
Friday 12 June, 19:00 · An Taibhdhearc
A night of cultural celebration at Galway's Irish language theatre on Sráid na Mara. Free entry. An Taibhdhearc is one of the few genuinely irreplaceable venues in the country; Oíche Airneáin is a reliable low-key Friday option.
The Golden Gala
Saturday 13 June, 19:00 · Town Hall Theatre
A showcase marking 10 years of Dance Concepts, featuring performances across various styles. A full-programme dance evening at the Town Hall.
SUPERHUMAN
Running from Wednesday 10 June · Galway City Museum
Exhibition exploring the concept of superhuman abilities and achievements. Free to visit at the Museum on Spanish Parade.
Galway Comic Con Official Afterparty
Sunday 14 June, 20:00 · Róisín Dubh
The official continuation of Comic Con, moving to Róisín Dubh after the Dexcom Stadium wraps up.
